6.Miracles, Signs and Wonders 2024
The prayer call has been a blessing to me in many ways. Those that have been a part of the prayer call since I joined, know the journey I have been on.
In July 2020 I caught COVID and was hospitalized for 9 days with bilateral pneumonia as well as other health issues. I was also diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes just to name a few. However, I had never had issues with either of these illnesses before COVID. I went through many mental health challenges because of my illness. Not only was I being challenged with my health, but my employer (supervisor) was also demanding me to return to work. I returned to a hostile work environment which caused my health to plummet even more. As a result, I was placed on medical leave for 6 months to allow me time to fully recover from such a traumatic health experience in which I am grateful to have recovered. Through all the ups and downs, the morning prayer call intercessory team was there every step of the way. I would share the challenges I had to face spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and I knew I had support through prayer. As a result of prayer, I returned to work healthy and walked in favor of the same supervisor that caused me problems. They apologized to me, and God gave me favor with this supervisor. Although that supervisor has since relocated with other job opportunities, they have remained in contact with me to see how I was doing and to make sure the office was treating me well. They even offered me a position which pays $15,000 more per year. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t work for me now due to relocation. However, I am forever grateful for the prayer call and those dedicated to praying around the clock for the needs of God’s people.
One morning on the prayer call Sister Janice from Canada was leading prayer and devotion. And although I can’t remember the scripture she used that morning, I do remember her message was about praying for others. In other words, sometimes we need to take the focus off ourselves and begin to pray for the needs of others. That message blessed me because I had been expecting God to move on my behalf concerning my Veteran’s Administration disability claims. I had been back and forth for years with the VA with repeated denials. That day, I started thanking God for others to receive their blessing financially and for God to open doors on their behalf. Specifically, for those who were in the same situation as me. Within 60 days, I received my reward on a claim I had been waiting for. Not only did I receive my 100% permanent and total disability, but my student loans were forgiven as well. This has also opened opportunities for my daughter who will now be able to attend college because of my benefits. As a single Mom, this was the blessing I needed to keep pressing and keeping God first. So again, I am so grateful for the devotions, prayers, and encouraging words that are being shared on the prayer call. It’s life changing.
