We may make our plans, but God has the last word. 2 You may think everything you do is right, but the Lord judges your motives. 3 Ask the Lord to bless your plans, and you will be successful in carrying them out. (Proverbs 16:3 GNT)
A successful plan is agreeing with God’s plan and choosing to walk in the path that He has predestined for our lives. His plan includes exercising self-control, disciplining our bodies, and honoring Him in everything we do. Since this is God’s plan for us, we never have to worry that we are alone in the process. He is with us every step of the way, strengthening, equipping, and leading us to victory, As we follow and obey, we will prosper in all our endeavors, which is the will of God.
Prayer: Holy and Awesome God, You alone know the plans for my life and I know they do not include over-eating, over-indulging, or dishonoring myself and others. Father, help me to do what you say. Help me to live the life you planned for me.
