Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind. (Proverbs 21:5 MSG)
It is easy to get off track. If you do not plan and prepare for things ahead of time. Plan to succeed, because ready or not, temptations are going to come to try and hinder your progress. Set boundaries for yourself and refuse to yield to random decisions. Visualize the results you want to see and remain focused on your goal. Try not to procrastinate and put things off for tomorrow, especially if it can be accomplished today. Maybe it’s making healthier eating choices, spending money more wisely, or becoming stronger in your spiritual walk. God will bring it all to past, if you commit those plans to Him. There will be unexpected pitfalls in your planning, but remain diligent in working the plan. Later, the plan will become routine and then catapult you closer to achieving your goal.
Prayer: Father, you are the master planner, perfect in all your ways. Thanks for helping me to plan and to do what it takes to achieve my goals. Thank you for your promise to help me succeed. Thank you for being the voice behind me saying, “This is the way, walk in it.” Thank you Father.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
